The Eighth Commandment
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (April 27, 1991) Jesus said to Nancy while in church for Mass, "You are called to bear witness of Me. You are called to bear witness to My living presence. I am the truth. There is no falsehood in Me. My children are all called to imitate Me. Anytime you fail to imitate Me, you fail in My commandment of love. Be truthful. Be humble as I am. Truth heals. Lies injure and harm. I am a healer. You are called to be healers. Learn from Me, be humble in love and truth. There is freedom in truth. Bondage awaits you in lies. Be free and fly or be jailed and tied." Later the Second Reading during the Mass was from 1 John 3:18-24, "My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth. In this we know that we are of the truth; and in his sight shall persuade our hearts. For if our hearts reprehend us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Dearly beloved, if our hearts do not reprehend us, we have confidence towards God; and whatsoever we shall ask, we shall receive of him; because we keep his commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ; and love one another, as he hath given commandment unto us. And he that keepeth his commandments, abideth in him, and he in him. And in this we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us." Jesus later said to Nancy as she was praying before the Blessed Sacrament, "If I allowed everyone to see Me, there would still be those who deny Me. Faith is greater. You die to yourself, then ask for the grace of faith, then signs will have meaning. "Nancy, you know the truth. When My children walk in darkness, they do not have truth. I am the Truth. I am the Light. You see Me. You see My light. Bring My living presence to My children. Bring My light to them. You are called to bear witness to the truth. You will not be defeated because I will not be defeated. Love, love, love and I will be alive to you. Love, love, love and let My children see My light. My children are afraid to bear witness. Help them, precious one. I am truth and you will speak the truth. "Man needs to be truthful with himself before Me and with each other. I am truth. If you know Me, then you are truthful. If you lie, how can you say you know Me. My friends are one with Me. A lie does not mix with the truth. You mix dough with like ingredients to make something pleasant tasting. Mix dough with bitter ingredients and it will be bitter, unpleasant." (January 11, 1992) When Nancy was rereading the April 27, 1991 message from Jesus on the Eighth Commandment, Jesus added, "Many of My children ask but they do not get what they ask because they do not keep My commandments. Seek My will and keep My commandments and you shall have what you ask. Many of My children are deceived. They think they keep My commandments but they do not. My prideful children are like the Pharisees. They think they are good and they keep all My laws. Many violate My First Commandment. Pride and love do not go hand in hand. Humility and love are joined."
