Do Everything Always in Love

Nancy said, "Oh my Jesus, that letter seemed so harsh to me." [The letter was written by a friend of Nancy's to a priest. This friend was telling him in a critical manner, she didn't agree with the way he was doing things.] Jesus replied, "The reason is because you have heard us speak in a different way and because I have said please don't criticize My priest, pray for them. It is as different as constructive criticism and destructive criticism. Do everything always in love. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not jealous or boastful; It is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; It is not irritable or resentful, It does not rejoice in wrong, but rejoices in right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. So faith, hope, love abide, these three but the greatest of these is love." Jesus began repeating His words. Nancy had the verse from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 on the wall and, then, Jesus said to copy it. The verse reads: Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up; is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Nancy said, "When you had George read that, it brought tears to my eyes because I failed to love today and I know I hurt You [Jesus] and Mary. I was getting angry at my son for misbehaving and I realize now I should have been more patient, kind, gentle and loving toward him." In another teaching Jesus was talking about love and He said, "I can summarize it: Giving."
