THE FIRST COMMANDMENT
Exodus 20:2-6 I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands to them that love me, and keep my commandments. (December 28, 1990) "Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Do you not want to take care of the temple? Look at it this way. Greed is next to pride. You can have greed with food, gluttony, greed for money, greed for sex, greed for power. Food does not make the sin; sex does not make the sin; power does not make the sin; greed does ... what you do with it willingly and knowingly." "He looks like He is suffering", said Nancy. Jesus said, "Put anything or anyone before Me then you are in violation of My first commandment. "You overeat. You like to do it. You want much power. You like it. You want too much sex. You like it. Oh how deceived man can be by Satan. Oh how deceived man can be by Satan. Oh how deceived man can be by Satan. "Men think they are masters of themselves, and it is Satan who is master of them. "Love your God with your whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. Do not love anyone or anything more than Me. If you do, you will become a slave. I alone am the Master who can set you free. Love Me and you will never be a slave. Love Satan and you will be in bondage. "I alone am your Lord, your God. Put no one, nothing before Me. I am Love; I am Life. Live in Me, and I give you My Life. Live in Satan, and you have death. He is darkness. He walks in darkness, and if you chose to walk with him, then you choose to walk in the dark. Is it not better to see and have light? Don't you feel better when you can see your way?" (December 29, 1990) "Greater suffering will befall Mankind. The Holy Trinity of God is deeply offended by the sins of Mankind and the universal rejection of God. I echo the words of My messenger, the Archangel Gabriel, who spoke to you. 'Time is near.'" "I am Jesus. I am one with the Father. I am the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. I am He who speaks to you." "He is glowing in immense light. The light is like a flashing light." Nancy added, "when the light over the crucifix increases in brightness, I understand that I am in His Holy presences and He is emphasizing something. There is a great sense of the Almighty presences of God and I tremble at these times." "Man shall know that I am God. I am a jealous God. Worship no other gods but Me alone. My people have walked from My commandments. Walk from My commandments and you walk from Me. You refuse My commandments. You refuse My love, then so shall you wander and suffer. "My precious children. My precious children. Why have you done this to Me? Know difficult days are ahead. Stay close to Me and pray, pray, pray." Jesus later said to Nancy with exhaustion and immense pain, "Man has too many gods and they should only have one. I want My children to give Me their hearts on the cross. My heart is on the cross. I am joined to the cross. I want My children to be joined to the cross in love..." (January 17, 1991) "I have a message for all mankind. Stop trying to be greater than Me. Stop worshiping false gods. Stop murdering. Stop lying. Stop striking Me. Stop ripping My flesh from My bones. Stop ignoring Me. Stop your selfish, egotistical ways. Begin anew. With sincere, repentant hearts turn back to Me. I say to you, love, love, love, every moment, everywhere. Give Me your heart of love. My people need My commandments of love." (January 19, 1991) "My precious daughter, I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I am pleased that you are getting to know Me so you can tell others about Me. My commandments of love are ways to help My children grow in love with Me, in Me and through Me. My commandments of love are ways that will help you live an orderly, meaningful life. Life has meaning when you have found your way to Me. Do I not provide your reason for your being. I am the Way, the Truth, the Life. If I am the Way, would it not make sense that I would give you signs along the way to help you come to Me? "Do you not have rules on the road? Do you not teach your children, look both ways before you cross the street? Well, I try to help you by giving you the greatest rules of life, My commandments of love. Are they not rules, guidelines and signposts telling you how to love? Does not the first commandment make the greatest sense to you? Come to Me first; put no one before Me. Love Me first. If you DO the first commandment, I tell you solemnly you will do the rest because you will want to. You will come to know and understand that I am love, perfect love and the source of all love. "Nancy, at times My children fall short of the first commandment and will need further help of My other commandments in order to find their way to Me. My children do not do what I want them to do. Leave the word DO in there. Maybe I can get their attention in this way. "Again, I say if you know Me, really know Me, you will love Me and desire with all your heart and strength to obey Me, to serve Me. "If a young child does not have rules of love in his family, would he not be very unhappy, very lonely, be lost and suffer much more? "Tell My people - keep My commandments and you will suffer less and you will be happier, never lost and never alone. Teach My children, Nancy. Look at the love I show you. Look at My face." Jesus later appeared again and said, "Nancy, I focused on the first part of the commandment, I am the Lord your God and you shall not have other gods before Me, because in America there are too many gods before Me. If you have no other god before Me and love Me with all your mind, heart, and strength and love one another as I love them, you have no other need for any other commandment." Nancy asked about the word soul. "Did You leave the word soul out?" "You can add soul. In every way, completely, totally love Me and others the same way. You have no other need for sign posts because you already know the way. My children in America need the first part of this commandment, then I can speak to them about the rest. Don't you have to recognize first there is a God and that I am God? There are too many false gods, My precious daughter."
