Resign the Cross to Me

(November 23, 1990 21)
When George was reading "What is love of the Cross?" from "Growth Through Virtue - Month by Month with Saint Alphonsus Liguori," Nancy saw Jesus come alive on the cross in light. Nancy heard Jesus say, "I can summarize it: resignation to the will of God. Resign yourself to accept the will of God. Resign yourself to accept the cross, then I will carry it for you. Think about the word resign. Let go of yourself. My strength will see you through it. No matter how hard a human being tries to carry a cross he will not have the strength alone to do it. It is the greatest humility to resign the cross to Me. Resignation to My will is pure humility and love. All pure love is humble." Nancy said, "He is showing me His Sacred Heart. He has opened His chest."

Jesus said, "To let go is to resign yourself to someone greater than yourself. To not let go, to not accept My yoke is a sinful state of pride. Your tears do not please Me when they are tears of pride. Look at Me. Look at My Heart. Look at My chest open. [He is exposing His Heart.] I want you now to think about what you are seeing in a physical way. Imagine yourself giving Me your heart, your real human heart. Your flesh would have to be open. You would experience great physical pain. There would be a loss of your blood. Without replacement of your blood, you would be weak. Without any anesthesia you would experience excruciating pain. But if I, your Lord, came and asked for your physical heart, would those barriers stop you? Now look at Me. Do you find any barriers that stop Me from giving you My heart?"

Nancy said, "He is still exposing His chest and His Heart through His open chest."
