Let Not My Will but Your Will Oh Lord be Done

In prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, Nancy was reflecting on the Scripture, John 12:44-50. Nancy prayed, "My Jesus, please help me with the reflection".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"He who rejects Me and refuses My words, has his judge already."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jesus said, "Write that sentence: He who rejects Me and refuses My words, has his judge already.

"He who receives much will be accountable for much. Throw more of My words away, and be judged more severely. Each step you take on earth determines how you will be judged.

"Walk in humility, then stand before Me humble.

"Walk in pride, then stand before Me prideful.

"Walk in hatred, then stand before Me in hate.

"Walk in forgiveness, then stand before Me in forgiveness.

"What you sow, you reap. I desire each of you to walk in My footsteps. Walk in love, obedience, humility, faith, hope, charity, forgiveness, compassion, mercy, trust, abandonment. 'Let not my will but Your will oh Lord be done'. Let it be written in your heart and resound in your footsteps on your journey toward Me. I am the Word Eternal, the Life, the Light, the Way, the Resurrection."

Nancy said, "There was light present over the crucifix as I wrote the above words.

Jesus said, "Be confident, do not be afraid to share My words with My people."

Nancy said, "When I continued to pray before Jesus in the tabernacle, again the light appeared over the crucifix, I asked Jesus to please speak to me in the Scriptures. He said, 'Turn to John'. I opened the Bible randomly to John 8:12: 'When Jesus spoke to the people again, He said: I am the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will not be walking in the dark; he will have the Light of Life.'"

Nancy said that later, "I was shown a toddler-age child on a cross. Twice I saw this image. I understood that I need to die to myself."

Jesus said, "Die more to yourself."

Nancy understood, "I had a lot more dying to myself that I needed to do. Jesus, help me to deny myself. Help me to die to my sinful ways."

No Sacrifice is too small.

(Matthew 6:16-18)
And when you fast, be not as the hypocrites, sad. For they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Amen I say to you, they have received their reward. But thou, when thou fastest anoint thy head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not to men to fast, but to thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret, will repay thee.

Nancy offered her liquid fast to God today for a very serious intention along with her prayers. Later in the afternoon she was hungry and she broke her fast by taking a couple of bites of food. While she was regretting how she did not do better she began to wonder if this offering really matters. Moments later a gold mystical light appeared. At that moment she got a strong sense that there was indeed someone there even though she could not distinguish any specific shape in this light.

She understood in a real way that no sacrifice is too small as an offering to God.

Our living God is everywhere. Not a thought, not a word, not an action, does our Merciful, loving God miss. He really is right there with us, loving us, caring about us and helping us.

Give God your prayers, your daily offerings and most of all your heart where ever you are. Remember you can never outdo His generosity.
