Day 1 - Rosary Novena for Nancy's Healing

August 6, 2009 - Feast of the Transfiguration

Today met with many distractions and trials for Nancy.  In fact, she saw the evil one before the Rosary at 8 pm appear as a black little man and she knew he was behind the distractions.  Yet, no matter how busy she was, she did not fail to stop at 8 pm and begin the 1st day of the Rosary Novena to the Mother of God for her physical healing. 
 
After the Rosary, she attended Holy Mass.  While the Priest was preaching, she saw an array of Heavenly light shining at certain points during the homily depending on what he was saying.  In fact, at one point, she saw the Lord himself appear momentarily all in light behind the Cross near where the priest was preaching.  It reminded us of the transfiguration.  Truly, the priest represents Jesus on earth.  How beautiful the priesthood is!  God works through them to carry on his ministry of healing on earth.
 
After the Mass, as the faithful were singing the closing hymn, "Sing of Mary", the candles from the Altar were blown out. From among the billow of smoke created by the blown candle, Nancy went into ecstasy and in awe uttered repeatedly, "Miracle!  Miracle!"  She saw the Risen Lord appear in a glorified state, all in light, on the cross suspended in the air.

Morning Prayer for Feast of Transfiguration

 
O God, at your only-begotten Son’s glorious transfiguration you confirmed the mysteries of faith by the witness of the prophets of old, and you miraculously prefigured what would happen when your adopted children were brought to perfection. Grant to us, your servants that we may hear the voice of your beloved Son and so desire to become co-heirs with him.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.
